There are three student congregations (Studentische Kirchengemeinden) in Düsseldorf:
Düsseldorf Catholic University Community (KHG
-Katholische Hochschulgemeinde Düsseldorf),
Düsseldorf Protestant Student Community (ESG -
Evangelische Studierenden-Gemeinde Düsseldorf) and Düsseldorf Muslim University Community (MHG - Muslimische Hochschulgemeinde Düsseldorf.
They all offer advice and assistance, church services, help with studying and leisure activities.
The communities also put students in touch with the right contacts if they have personal problems or find themselves in a difficult situation.
In special circumstances (e.g. prior to exams), the
Düsseldorf Protestant Student Community also offers
financial aid for international students from developing
countries.
