Jazzappeal is the name of the pop and jazz choir of Hochschule Düsseldorf – University of Applied Sciences.
The choir was founded by Prof. Dr. Hubert Minkenberg in 2000 and has approx. 20 members today. What was planned to be a university chamber choir soon became a pop and jazz choir. In addition to its performances at the university, the choir became known beyond the borders of Düsseldorf. The choir has won several competitions and runs its own YouTube channel (Jazzappeal on YouTube).
The choir is open to all members of university. Admission to the choir requires an audition and a successful trial period.
Choir practice takes place in room 3.E.025 on Tuesdays from 18:30 to 20:30.
At the moment, we are particularly looking for male voices and alto singers.
