Entry to Germany
The entry and quarantine regulations are constantly changing. You can find further information on the websites of the Federal Foreign Office and the Federal Ministry of Interior, Building and Community on the right.
Please regularly check the current entry restrictions and quarantine regulations and double-check them right before departure in case of any sudden changes.
Everyone travelling to Germany from a risk area must complete a digital entry registration form, be tested for coronavirus and, depending on the regulations of the respective federal state, self-isolate (last updated: 15.04.2021). Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the central German government institution in the field of disease monitoring and prevention, reports which areas are currently classified as risk areas. Please find the list of current risk areas on the RKI website. Please regularly check if the country / region you are travelling from is currently listed as a risk area and double-check right before departure in case of any sudden changes.
We strongly recommend that you plan your journey to Düsseldorf with a sufficient time buffer in case you are legally obliged to quarantine after your entry to Germany.
Due to the pandemic, restrictions are currently in place in daily life. The federal states determine different regulations depending on the infection rate.
Information on the current regulations in North Rhine-Westphalia can be found on the websites of the Federal State and the City of Düsseldorf.
