Refugees as guest students

HSD offers refugees a free auditorium. Therefore, German language skills are required. Some courses are also offered in English and do not require knowledge of German.

As a guest auditor, you can select up to 4 events/seminars after consultation with the International Office and the corresponding teachers, get to know the range of studies and services offered by HSD and establish contacts with lecturers and students. You cannot take any examinations. Upon request, you will receive a certificate of attendance if you have participated regularly and actively in the event.

The guest auditor has no influence on your asylum procedure. It is also no guarantee for a later, regular place at HSD. There is no entitlement to a scholarship or a semester ticket.

You can apply with the following documents:

  • the completed and signed guest auditor application form
  • a certificate stating the status of your asylum procedure or your residence status (copy of your identity document)
