At a glance
As HSD student you get subsidised meals in the canteens and cafeterias of Studierendenwerk Düsseldorf.
It is not possible to pay in cash. You need a MensaCard to pay the meals.

You can get subsidised meals in all canteens and cafeterias of Studierendenwerk Düsseldorf.

There is one canteen on the Hochschule Düsseldorf campus and two canteens and some cafeterias on the Heinrich-Heine-University campus (which is another university in Düsseldorf).

MensaCard
Can be purchased at the cashier of the canteens or cafeterias for 2,50 EUR (with HSD student ID).
Students in the dormitoriy need the card to use the washing machines.
Top up your MensaCard with banknotes at the machine next to the entrance of the canteen or online via the app "TopUp MensaCARD Stw Düsseldorf" (you can find the QR code for the app on the website of Studierendenwerk). As an alternative to the app this link can be used to top up your MensaCard.
