Anti-discrimination counsellor
The university’s anti-discrimination counsellor is your point of contact for all concerns about discrimination.
Counselling Service
When you have been discriminated against or are unsure if a situation was discriminatory, a counselling session can provide clarification and help contextualise your own perception.
Counselling sessions take place in a confidential setting and serve to empower you. They are therefore deliberately partial, so your interests always come first. If you wish for further action on the situation, the anti-discrimination counsellor can support and accompany you in the process.
Raising Awareness
Anti-discrimination is a community task! If you have any questions about discrimination, are uncertain about anti-discrimination in general and need to talk to someone about it or you would like to work together on a related issue, feel free to get in touch with the anti-discrimination counsellor. If you are an employee at HSD, it is also worth keeping an eye on the internal further training and continuing education programme – courses and presentations to raise awareness for various discrimination issues and diversity dimensions take place regularly!
Gender Diversity
Trans, inter and non-binary HSD students can request a change of given name(s) and registered gender that reflect their gender identity – no matter if this change has been officially registered with the authorities yet. Click here for more information (English version below).
