1. Application procedure
- Read about the application requirements and about changes in the application procedure.
- Register at hochschulstart.de (only for applicants applying for admission-restricted (NC) Bachelor's degree programmes).
Further information on our website DoSV. - Register at the uni-assist online portal for applicants, apply for the programme with all your documents online.
- Send** the documents listed below as hard copies to uni-assist in Berlin.
** For the summer semester 2023, it is possible to submit your application only online via uni-assist. Should you be admitted to a programme, you will need to hand in hard copies of your documents to be able to enrol successfully.
2. Application documents
You will need to send the following documents when applying via uni-assist:
- School leaving certificate with an overview of subjects and grades.
Please submit all documents relating to your school leaving certificate
(certified copy of original language and certified copy of translation)
- If applicable university entrance examinations
(certified copy of original language and certified copy of translation)
- If applicable certificate of the Studienkolleg and Feststellungsprüfung
(certified copy)
- If applicable, certificate of study from a German university, if you were previously enrolled at a German university (single copy)
- Proof of any previously earned study credits from a foreign university and your university degree certificate, including transcripts with an overview of subjects and grades of your entire academic career. No parts of your certificate should be missing.
(certified copy of original language and authenticated copy of translation)
Attention: Also submit a copy of the grading system for your particular degree at your university, if this is not included in your transcript of records.
- if available, your module handbook or the module descriptions for your bachelor's degree ( for application for master programmes)
- Only for applicants for the Faculties of Architecture and Design: certificate of the successfully completed aptitude test (simple copy)
- Original APS certificate (for all applicants with degrees from China, India** and Vietnam).

**Take Note: For applicants with an Indian degree: For the summer semester 2023 application, you will need to present the APS certificate for the visa procedure at the latest.

- A copy of your passport (simple copy of the page with your personal information)
- Enter your BID- and BAN-number (only for applicants applying for admission restricted (NC) bachelor programmes; only to be submitted online).

- Special additional application form (only for M.A. Empowerment Studies, M.A. Culture, Aesthetics, Media, M.A. Psychosocial Counselling, M.A. Communication, Multimedia and Market Management)
The respective form will be available for download during the online application process in the uni-assist portal. You need to fill in the form and send it directly to the admission office at Hochschule Düsseldorf together with the documents named in the form.

4. Application fees
- The first application costs: EUR 75
- Each additional application costs: EUR 30
